“𝐀𝐲𝐞 𝐀𝐲𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧” is a common usage in the naval world which means telling the Captain that we hear, understand and will obey his order. Borrowing this phrase to the developments in the technology world, we could simply say “𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐈 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧” 😊 Getting bombarded by news, posts, tools, comments and critiques about the developments in AI, is a common phenomenon these days. So Sashikala Viswanathan and I wanted to try this differently and registered ourself for a workshop titled “𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞” hosted by World Trade Center Chennai at Holiday Inn OMR, Chennai on 12th Jun 2024, giving ourselves a much deserved break from the overwhelming work routine.

Since we arrived early, we had a good catch-up with Krishna Kumar, Founder and CEO of GreenPepper + AI, who was going to take us through the workshop. Of course, it was a over a cup of hot coffee!

Krishna set the context by emphasizing that it was going to be a workshop peppered (he is from Green Pepper right? 😊) with ideas, questions, explorations and hands-on experiences and not a slide-to-slide sliding down learner experience. Briefly touching upon the evolution of AI, he highlighted the ‘companionship’ aspect of AI tools, a refreshing point of view. He underlined the importance of consistent curiosity to learn. Taking a series of business examples from the participants, he ‘promptly engineered’ them to meaningful results and demonstrated the theme of the workshop. He also shared a range of AI tools (with the eco system rapidly evolving) which provide a significant gain in a business context. Well done Krishna!
